Celista - Swimming Endless
To be a competitive swimmer it takes hours and hours of time spent in the water working on your craft and endurance to take your body to it’s up most limits. As a long time swimmer that specialized in long distance races, there were many sessions to where I would spend 2 hours at a time swimming back and forth, non-stop, stoke after stroke, rhythmically finding a spot to breath. Some of these swim would seem endless, watching the massive LCD clock in the corner high above the shallow end of the Towson University pool clicking by with a sense of entirety.
I also suggest you give the track “Warm Autumn” a listen [fitting]. You can pick up the Canadian’s coastal EP on either bandcamp or soundcloud for free. [photo]
Class Actress - Weekend
You ever see a band live and their stage presents is something that isn’t something to be eff’d with in an alley? Like so domineering you question yourself and how you lucked your way into this show? I had one of those moments when I saw Class Actress last winter in a smallish basement in DC at a house show with Small Black, which is where I took the photo below.
My knowledge of Class Actress at the time was very limited and needless to say after their set of Elizabeth Harper’s sultry vocals and Mark Richardson’s sick, sick, sick synth work I became quite the fan.

Valerie (feat. Amy Winehouse) - Mark Ronson
This much fun can not be in one song. This is Mark Ronson’s version of Valerie feat. the late great Amy Winehouse. The original version was made by The Zutons a year before the cover version came out. How’s about we not mention the Glee version.

In their new video for “Calamity Song,” The Decemberists recreate Enfield Tennis Academy’s round of Eschaton from David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest.
